How to Make Links to Information in iLink
Kenton Good created a page with information on creating the following links to information found in the NEOS Library catalogue:
How to Create a Link (web address) to Your Instance of iLink
The base of the web address is:
http://ualweb.library.ualberta.ca/uhtbin/cgisirsi/x/0/0/57/49?user_id=
to which you add your library user ID: WRED_DEER_C (RDC example)
http://ualweb.library.ualberta.ca/uhtbin/cgisirsi/x/0/0/57/49?user_id=WRED_DEER_C
If you aren't sure what your library's user ID is, check Kenton's page.
How to Create a Link to the Test Catalogue
The address for the test version of the NEOS catalogue is:
http://web.sirsitest.library.ualberta.ca
If you want the test catalogue to not be the generic NEOS version, but rather "your" version (so pointing to your instance in the test catalogue) the base address is the test one provided above, and then you include the following:
uhtbin/cgisirsi/x/0/0/57/49?user_id=
and add your library user ID at the end and it should look like this:
http://web.sirsitest.library.ualberta.ca/uhtbin/cgisirsi/x/0/0/57/49?user_id=WRED_DEER_C
using Red Deer College as the example again.
